Khalid Caught Lying Again

If you read what Khalid Bakar said, I think it could be a spin by the UMNO-BN to make people think of that.

PETALING JAYA, Dec 20 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has expressed concerns over the use of children in campaigns organised by certain groups and individuals in pursuit of their personal interests.

The Ruler conveyed his concern to Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar prior to his departure overseas last Friday.

"The Sultan is disappointed with the actions by some irresponsible people for exploiting children in their campaigns or demonstrations.

"He has expressed concern on the matter and wants the police to take stern action against those involved," Khalid told reporters here Saturday.

As such, he said, police would not hesitate to take action against anyone who used children in unlawful activities.

On the Bar Council's tendencies to be critical of the actions taken by the police, Khalid said, as a respectable body, the council should have acted in the interests of the law and not otherwise.

He also said that police were preparing investigation papers with a view of charging Sungai Siput member of parliament Dr D. Jeyakumar, who was detained in Rawang, for using children in the "Cycling for Change" campaign organised by Jaringan Rakyat Tertindas (Jerit) or the Oppressed People Network.

In the Dec 15 incident, 58 people, including 28 who were below the age of 18, were detained for participating in an illegal gathering.
Or is it? From what it was said, the state governments of Penang, Perak and Selangor gave their seal of approval to let the cyclists cycle at these states. But the irony is that the state governments are Pakatan Rakyat governments. UMNO is the opposition front of these three states and but the coalition that rules the state government has the right to endorse or otherwise.

Look carefully at the Malaysiakini summary on this matter:
The Selangor police chief says the sultan was disappointed that some irresponsible quarters had recently used children to legitimise their struggles
Did the Sultan said it on his word or Khalid Bakar said on his behalf?

Raja Petra Kamaruddin has another thing to say of using the palace for leverage:

I was identified as the dalang (puppet master) behind this ‘conspiracy to trigger a clash between the government and the palace’ and Umno Youth subsequently ousted me from the Malay Chamber of Commerce. The Umno Youth personalities were Wan Hisham (brother of Wan Farid, the candidate for the 17 January 2009 Kuala Terengganu by-election), Wan Bakri, Nasir Ibrahim Fikri, etc., and led, of course, by Wan Mokhtar, the Menteri Besar and head of the Wan clan of Terengganu.

We found out later that the palace had, indeed, not issued any ‘yellow letter’ and that Wan Mokhtar was, in fact, the partner of these three Datuks. The palace had been used to siphon out more than RM100 million worth of government money, which, at today’s prices, could easily be five times that amount.
And in this situation, did the palace issue a yellow letter on this or it's just a make up to convince people that the Sultan said it?

The Pinocchio by the name of Khalid Bakar has its nose growing more and more. If you have read the child's story, you'd find that someday a woodpecker would peck the nose.

I also concurred with the last paragraph:
It has become the habit for the government and police to clamp down on those not aligned to Umno while using the palace as the excuse for doing so. “We are just doing what the Sultan ordered,” would be the normal argument. They even use the Sultan’s name to rob us of billions of the rakyat’s money. Podah, we no longer fall for that crap. And we are going to send a petition to the Sultan to protest what the police did. So, please sign the petition and let us get as many signatures as possible. We are going to fight back with a vengeance.
