Football In 3D!

Isn't this better after watching Avatar in cinemas?
===
LONDON, Jan 31 – Nine mystery pubs are to host the 3D broadcast of footballing giants Manchester United and Arsenal play each other at the Emirates Stadium tonight, news reports say.

BSkyB and Korean manufacturers LG have fitted out nine pubs around the UK and Ireland with brand new 3D television; a new 47-inch LD920 and it will feature the match – to be filmed and broadcast live in 3D and beamed to each of these pubs on Sunday.

3D has been a sensation since the latest movie to feature the technology – Avatar. It still involves the usage of spectacles to watch the effect.

Four drinking venues in London, two in Manchester and one each in Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin have been kitted out with the new TVs, but BSkyB has not disclosed their names for fear of overcrowding.

But other reports listed the pubs as: Cardiff – The Blackweir Tavern (North Road) Dublin – Qbar (D’Olier Street) Edinburgh – Belushis (Market Street) London – Bar Kick (Shoreditch) London – The Elk Bar (Fulham) London – The George (Liverpool St) London – Sirocco ( Soho) Manchester – Binary Bar (Castlefield) Manchester – O’Sheas (Princess Street)

Are They Realists or Just Showmen?

Khalid Ibrahim and Xavier Jeyakumar were unhappy men. Arrangements that were made with temple people and the Selayang police went up in the flames when state police chief Khalid Bakar told them that they had to remove the stage there because Najib is visiting the temple at night instead of this morning. A friend of mine told me that Najib coming there is like being a showman announcing himself to come to a stage.

If that is not enough, they had to argue with the police over the problem of them occupying the police's monitoring spots there.

No, it is the problem of those people coming in to show themselves. If you are a realist, you would come in to there in a very surprising way. That is more appropriate as to make an event, particularly a state official event more interesting to have another unexpected celebrity coming over.

A showman merely boasts and shows how great they are but they don't have substance.

There's also another example. According to Harakah, PAS was very unhappy at Hisham Hussein, Najib's cousin over the matter of him directing the police men not to take Azmin Ali's statement over his claim that there are UMNO members who instigated the torching of the church thing.

The directive implies of showing how high and mighty the man is to protect the party, and it is inconsistent against his statement that 'no one will be exempted' But it is already too late because it reveals what a showman he is instead of a realist.

In the end, it is more of less of a sideshow of a sideshow.

Let The Blame Games Continue!

The last three days, both sides, opposition and BN have been blaming one another over many issues, to the point where people will be very misdirected from the more important things of economy and many things. Blame games have become more politically oriented. But one observation that I noticed is that majority is of UMNO instigating it, blaming people instead of themselves.

It's just like what Provisional IRA used to do, which is refusing to sit down and talk, thinking of being high and mighty while the other partners buckled down and obey their letter.

The ball got rolling with the Muslim groups blaming the Christians again on the Allah debacle. The problem is that they are not matured enough to think that the word is acceptable elsewhere. Try asking the question to the famed Muslim scholas throughout the world, and they will get laughed down to the drop. And there's the problem of immaturity by the group.

Next, Najib and BN blames Anwar and Pakatan for the church attacks over and over again. This is despite the fact that there are people who are aware that UMNO affiliated quarters deliberately instigated and retaliated so that they can catch the attention of other races. There has been an allegation that this was deliberately engineered so that they can make people think that the mastermind behind those attacks is Anwar and Pakatan.

And there's the best including Dr. M blaming PKR and PAS of splitting the Malays. But there are groups of people who doesn't have the conventional thinking and may think differently. Is Dr. M expecting that all Malays to be under the one umbrella that is UMNO in terms of politcal and perspective thinking as well as their tenets? Control against freewill perhaps?

These are among the few I point you, you point me thing but the boar head incident is making this pretty much suspicious or play acting is involved in there.

The signs of UMNO blaming others also happens to those who are previously in UMNO the current Penang debacle. It's just the golf club thing that somebody gets sulked for not getting the tender directly, not by open tender.

Sigh...I am indecisive over this thing, but I believe that there's the fun of witnessing the war of words against both parties. But again, let's remember, it's deliberately engineered to make things worst, using the May 13 1969 thing as a baseline script. It's a remake in the making!

Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu in PKR

The problem right now in PKR is that they are running in circles over how delicate it is to deal with a 'loose cannon' like Zulkifli Noordin that. Everyone said that he crossed the line by making a remark that goes against the coalition's desire to have flexibility and respect for other religions. From the remarks that he made on why he reported that, I would say that flexibility and the actual wisdom of religion that he claims to have is not there missing.

Instead what I found is that the remarks he claimed is very similar to the UMNO mantra. But the UMNO mantra is one more step worse than Zul's thing which is to defend the Malay rights - turned Malay supremacy to the last drop of blood (one of the common cliches mentioned).

Going back way before the General election and just the six months after GE, I thought with him going on the cool motor bike, riding and a cool end call sign (adios) at the end of each posting, he's one cool fellow. The one time I saw him in the face was during the aborted Bar Council gathering held back on December 2007, where he was one PKR man with the rest of UMNO-related NGOs storming into the Bar Council calling for the stop on that talk. The other man who went with him was the GPRM current president.

The three Ibrahims (Anwar, Zaid, Khalid), given of their past history has skeletons in the closet that includes opportunists would be keen to exploit to their fullest to wreck their public image. People were calling them to throw Zul immediately, like being hard and no remorse. In the end, Anwar just referred Zul to the disciplinary committee, and they imposed a gag order on media - something that Zul was not happy with. One thing I believed is that Anwar did that to show that he wanted to keep his hands clean and not personally involved in subsequent actions against Zul. This is because from the start of Reformasi, (according to history), Zul was willing to lay down and follow Anwar with all costs.

So that's why some of the leaders are facing the problem of running in circles in coming out with the best solution to get rid of Zulkifli. But may have information that could incriminate, people, who knows? So that is why the Pi Mai Pi Mai Tangtu show is now in the PKR shores live now. There is right now a problem of how to solve the party problem. Remove Zul or not?

They said that Zul is a PAS reject. Not even UMNO would be willing to take him into the fold.

If I am given a choice to pick on this, I would see removing him is more appropriate. Both sides will know that although A is a good friend of B, in comes to this business, personal relationship will not take into account. If both parties know how to differentiate it, then it is good as both parties will have understanding and hold no personal grudges against one another.

Will I do my part to make PKR free? Yes, it's encouraging to have people write to their MPs or their assemblymen to let them know their intention on Zul. Of course I would but my MP and Adun is a DAP man!

How I wish that a cool dude in a motorbike shouldn't end up like a hardliner in UMNO.

Playstation 3 Cracked

My brother used to say that he was unwilling to buy a PS3 because that thing will not be able to play older games like in PS2 and having to buy titles that can be run compatible with that machine. Someone did some research and managed to crack how the mechanism works.

And that's a great feat really.

From BBC

A US hacker who gained notoriety for unlocking Apple's iPhone as a teenager has told BBC News that he has now hacked Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3).

George Hotz said the hack, which could allow people to run pirated games or homemade software, took him five weeks.

He said he was still refining the technique but intended to post full details online soon.

The PS3 is the only games console that has not been hacked, despite being on the market for three years.

"It's supposed to be unhackable - but nothing is unhackable," Mr Hotz told BBC News.

"I can now do whatever I want with the system. It's like I've got an awesome new power - I'm just not sure how to wield it."

Sony said it was "investigating the report" and would "clarify the situation" when it had more information.

'Open curiosity'

Mr Hotz said that he had begun the hack last summer when he had spent three weeks analysing the hardware.

After a long break, he spent a further two weeks cracking the console, which he described as a "very secure system".

He said that he was not yet ready to reveal the full details of the hack but said that it was "5% hardware and 95% software".

Playstation 3 (Sony)
The hack could allow gamers to play pirated games

"You can use hardware to inject an insecurity and then you can build on that," he said.

He admitted that he had not managed to hack the whole system, including the protected memory, but had worked out ways to trick the console into doing what he wanted.

Mr Hotz said that he was continuing to work on the hack and, once finished, would publish details online in a similar way to his previous iPhone exploits.

In particular, he said, he would publish details of the console's "root key", a master code that once known would make it easier for others to decipher and hack other security features on the console.

He said his motivation was "curiosity" and "opening up the platform".

"To tell you the truth, I've never really played a PS3," he said. "I have one game, but I've never really played it."

Opening the system could allow people to install other operating systems on their console and play homemade games, he said.

In addition, he said, the hack would allow people to play older PS2 games on their consoles.

Recent versions of the PS3 do not have the ability to play PS2 games after Sony controversially removed a piece of hardware.

He admitted that it could also allow people to run pirated games.

"I'm not going to personally have anything to do with that," he told BBC News.

Gaming firms do not take the issue of game piracy and console modification lightly. Recently, Microsoft disconnected thousands of gamers from its online gaming service Xbox Live for modifying their consoles to play pirated games.

Mr Hotz said that the nature of his PS3 hack means that Sony may have difficulty patching the exploit.

"We are investigating the report and will clarify the situation once we have more information," said a Sony spokesman.

Mr Hotz rose to fame in 2007 at the age of 17 when he unlocked the iPhone, which could only be used on the AT&T network in the US at launch.

The hack allowed the popular handset to be used on any network.

He has since released various other hacks, allowing people to unlock later versions of the popular handset.

They Still Need People Feeding While Others Can Feed Themselves

My friend once spoke of how the masters teach them to fish in order to feed and support themselves without relying on others to feed them. Sadly, it becomes worst as they cling on others like a parasite and a drug. And if they are not fed the drug, they will go crazy and will do stupid things in order to sate their addiction.

The addiction is of course the NEP and from that, it comes Ketuanan Melayu.

And then you have Ibrahim Ali and Perkasa screaming about Malay rights and it reminds me of the feudal age, whereas we are in the technology age. What's really gone into them anyways?

What's A Loose Cannon?

For what he claimed to be that Khalid Samad has committed sedition, our friend has crossed the party line. The current psyche in Malaysian society is that they scream religion over law and so forth. In fact, the level of priority is wrong.

Zul's one of them. Suspend him or best of all, throw him out.

Husni Missed Out A Point,

I know and I saw Husni Hanadziah once when I was in secondary school where he was invited by the administration of my alma mater to be the guest-of-honor for the Speech and Prize Giving Day. Note though that Husni was also from the same school.

Yesterday, Husni was criticizing everyone us for betraying what the forefathers do by migrating to other countries. In this time of the period, people migrate because of the many mistakes committed by the regime. I remembered that in the times of Tunku, Tun Razak, every people were appreciated for the work / sacrifice done for the country. But after petroleum was found, greed became part of the people and many bad practices are happening now.

You see, Husni missed out a key point - what about the ruling government? People were not appreciated as what it used to be. The common syndrome that is happening now is:

1. Corruption
2. Discrimination
3. Bad state of economy

If you earn $3000 in US, you earn 10K in Malaysia, so people will find it more better to work there and migrate there. Of course, I would love to, but I simply feel that I am not ready now. The feeling of loneliness and craving for home is very sharp there and more than what I am facing now.

People should not depend on BN to change it...they have to do it first hand come in the election time.

Interestingly, I saw the first three paragraphs of Pete's posting that says:

Malaysians who ‘abandon’ their country and migrate to another country are traitors, says an Umno Minister. Is he speaking on behalf of the Malaysian government, on behalf of Umno, on behalf of Barisan Nasional, on behalf of the Malay race, or on behalf of the Muslim ummah (community)?

Malays always scream, rant and rave that Islam comes first and everything else goes to the bottom of the priority list. Even the Member of Parliament for Kulim -- someone from what can be considered a liberal party, PKR -- says that he puts Islam first and everything else second. So let us assume that Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah, being a Muslim, speaks from the Islamic perspective. I doubt he would dare declare otherwise.

Islam stipulates that if you suffer persecution, oppression, injustice, and discrimination under a dictatorial regime, then it is your duty to hijah (migrate). And hijrah is very important to Islam. Hijrah is what the Prophet Muhammad was commanded by God to do. And the day of the Prophet’s hijrah is the day the Muslim calendar begins. That is how important hijrah is to Islam.

- For Whom The Bell Tolls

Look at the third paragraph, most of other Malaysians are facing this. They are not being appreciated.

Orange Shirts But During Remand?

There's something not right by looking at the picture above.

You see, those who were arrested for the sand-mining thing were remanded for a few days and interestingly, they are wearing those orange shirts as if they are coming out of the prisoner and being branded as a prisoner and so forth.

However, they are yet to be proven guilty by the court. From my basic understanding, you don't have to wear that until you are sent to prison after being proven guilty. Isn't that goes against the Standard Operating Procedure / or the CPC thing that we knew?

Sixth Sense Technology

You gonna look at that.

Now Who's Really in the Bankrupt Situation? BN or PR?

New Year's Eve 2007 - Najib was saying Malaysia will go bankrupt if Pakatan rules the federal government and reduces its petrol subsidy. Read here.

Flash forward to two years later, BN is leading but they are facing in sufficient reserves, bigger deficit this year and they are thinking of reducing the subsidies at one go. They are having problems now and risk facing public backlash. Read here.

That's why there's this revision of the subsidy petrol thing that Ayah Dali is proposing.

Why did you vote for BN in the first place? They are doing what the EHM would tell them to do!

Read the analytical report here. If you find it hard to believe, that's because you've been duped.

You've been warned before and now you're paying it. Malaysia's reserves coffers is near to zero.

Ayah Dino Still Doesn't Know Internet!

The Malaysian government has warned against excessive use of micro-blogging sites like Facebook and Twitter, arguing that they could erode the country’s culture, a report said on Sunday.

Rais Yatim, the information and communication minister, said Muslims and other religious groups must be wary of the Internet as it was introduced by the West.

Note: For this case, I will refer to this bloke as Ayah Dino.

There is still a problem with Ayah Dino. He whined that Malaysians are addicted in those tools like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and Friendster. And then he added that the mainstream media is still relevant in today's society.

When Ayah Dino said that to people especially youngsters from Generation X and Y, they feel a kind of being told by a cheong hei person. As you can see, this is the newer way to communicate rather than spending many hours and money talking over the phone. All you need is a broadband connection and a chat program, and you're off to go to chat with a lot of people without the phone.

Was Ayah Dino really thinking that of being a big brother to jaga over all people who are hooked up to the Internet, whereas he still clings to the old conventional method? Hey, I asked a few youngsters around including my very own brother and asked whether they read newspapers when they are on their own. Their answer was hell no. They usually read and get news online now. At least people are getting more info on the net rather than the papers because in Malaysia sometimes the info is distorted and not exactly accurate as they claim to be. And sometimes, sometimes info can't be found on print.

In the last 15 years those who are really used to the old system who was trying very hard to adapt to the new system of information technology were called dinosaurs. But at least they tried very hard and many got it running. But in this case of Ayah Dino, I was wondering whether he doesn't even know what is e-mail, Internet, Web 2.0 and so forth.

This is the second time that Khairy laid the smackdown on Ayah Dino on Twitter again, as according to Malaysiakini. The last time around back in mid-August last year, Khairy was telling a reporter something similar when he whacked Ayah Dino again. He said: ""While we're on the green dam, do you think Rais knows what email is? Forget FB (facebook), Twit (twitter), etc. Is he even 1.0? I think he kolot."

True, Ayah Dino deserves to get whacked left and right from youngsters in he whines about this thing. This is somewhat different from his predecessor Mamak Maidin who got scolded left and right over blogging and the Bersih thing which everyone in the world was laughing at him on that Saturday evening of 10 November 2007.

But it's not too late, Dino can and should teach him everything about e-mail, Web 2.0, Internet, Facebook and so forth. After all, politicians are using this, even his own ministrial colleagues are using this, and he has the son who is very good in IT to teach him. Maybe he might want to go into that before making another whining again, ain't it?

More Acknowledgements of God

The Quran acknowledges of the Bible and the Torah, Jesus and God. So Allah is the Arabic name of God. Even Buddhism also has reference to Jesus and God. So most religions have a common denominator at all.

Why do these people from UMNO say your god is different from my god? It's a political thing.

See, They Ain't Going To Last Long, Do They?

From Free Malaysia Today

KUALA LUMPUR: The leadership tussle in the pro-Barisan Nasional Makkal Sakti Party is expected to prolong, with nary a light at the end of the tunnel.

It appears that Makkal Sakti (Tamil for "People’s Power") does not even have the relevant people to power the party. The party, officially launched by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak just last

October, is in danger of becoming irrelevant even before it begins a mass membership drive.

Political pundits also predict that if the warring factions within the party do not make peace soon, Makkal Sakti will be dead in a matter of months.

Socio-economic analyst Denison Jayasooria said internal squabbles have discredited Makkal Sakti, which started with a bang and once captured the imagination of the Malaysian Indian community.

He said Makkal Sakti had fallen victim to a situation familiar to political parties aspiring to represent the Indian community. "They put personality conflicts and internal bickering as priority, instead of the plight of the community."

Dr Denison, a member of the Malaysian Human Rights Commission (Suhakam), predicts that it would be an uphill battle for the party to recover in the short term, unless its leaders "sit down or get an intermediary" to resolve the power tussle.

"Like many other Indian-based parties, personality conflicts and internal problems dominate over community interest," he said. "They are shooting at themselves and hope the community would still support them. So far, I do not see them as leaders of the community.

"When they launched the party, they managed to capture the imagination of the Malaysian Indian community. But, sad to to say, this has fizzled out."

Yesterday, the party’s central committee voted to kick out its embattled president, R. S. Thenenthiran, for failing to respond to several allegations levelled against him.

The decision to expel the 46-year-old president was made by 14 central committee members, said to belong to faction led by deputy president A. Vathemurthy and secretary-general Kannan Ramasamy.

Kannan said the party would inform the Registrar of Societies (ROS) of the outcome of the meeting in the next few days, and a new president would be named next month.

He also revealed that the party was trying to persuade Klang-based businessman Oms Thiyagarajan and Hindu Rights Action Force leader V. Ganabathirao to take up the vacant post.

Apart from informing the ROS, Vathemurthy’s faction also wants to inform the Prime Minister on the latest development, according to Bernama.

Makkal Sakti was launched by Najib with much pomp and splendour on Oct 10 last year. However, Thenenthiran, who is currently overseas, is not about to take this sitting down.

The first salvo from his side was issued by his brother, R. S. Ramesh, who is also Makkal Sakti vice president, when he said that Thenenthiran’s group would not recognise his expulsion from the party and insisted he was still the president.

He said Thenenthiran’s group would accept the sacking only if the ROS accepted it.

While this is easier said than done, an Indian political observer feels that even if the ROS decides on the matter, either faction would eventually challenge the decision in court.

It's a sure bet that the Makkal Sakthi party will not last long beyond six months, if you count from October onwards and it hit true when they decided to throw the president out of the party. Even the goodies that were offered Najib will not suffice enough for them.

In fact, Thenenthiran's sacking was already done since last month already. It was a matter of timing of when to trigger the event. In fact, it is now like another Tamil movie, akin to the Kayveas / Murugiah thing now. Of course this is giving Najib and BN more problems since he launched the party and lauded their BN-friendly stance.

My friend used to say of implosion in party. The component parties have shown signs of cracking up - in the last few months, from PPP, MCA, MIC and this. Of course they were some rough patches in order to stop it from getting from bad to worse, but it shows the inability to keep the cohesion of BN.

Some of us were right after all, though spoken in a sarcastic manner.

If They Want Such Ban, Change These Basic Things To Back Your Claim

Yesterday, the Malaysian Insider has published an article stating that Jakim (Islamic Development Department) was insisting that the Allah ban should extend to Sabah and Sarawak as the primary reason stated from a gazette issued by the Cabinet on 5 December 1986. The gazette was also reaffirmed twice, in 2006 and in 2008 during Pak Lah's period. Earlier on, the idea of having Allah used in East Malaysia by Nazri was deemed ridiculous and shot down by many clergymen.

This response came two days after the Selangor state religious department issued the Friday sermons calling the usage of Allah by themselves only because use by others could likely creating religious tensions. From here, I can see that tension can be created by those who misunderstood it or those who refuse to accept the stark reality of the word being used by others as being one of the other names of God.

There has been mentioned in some published commentaries that most of the state religious department features men and officials that are UMNO affiliated.

Last Friday, the judge presiding this case, Datuk Lau Bee Lan has released a 57-page judgment part of it which points out to:

1. Home Ministry (and then minister Syed Hamid Albar)'s failure to take account of previous publications, including those dating back 5 centuries ago that reveals and proves that Allah was used as the Malay-language equivalent of God.

2. There is very strong disclaimer mentioned in the cover page of the newsletter stating that the newsletter is not to be sold elsewhere apart from the Church. Therefore those who felt being offended need not to worry because you have the discretion of either buying the newsletter for your reading or you choose not to do so.

3. "All these State Enactments are made pursuant to Article 11(4) of the Federal Constitution which reads “State law and in respect of the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya, federal law may control or restrict the propagation of any religious doctrine or belief among persons professing the religion of Islam." This means you can control and set the limit but you cannot ban it outright.

Considering the scenario of an overrule to this judgment happening in a few months time, this means that if Islamic officials insist on having such ban, they will have to rub everything that is happening / in place of some of the systems in place and replace Allah with Tuhan if such elements are to be used together by non-other Muslims.

I wonder if they are going to back their claim with such actions in three notable elements like:

State anthems

Most of the state anthems have the word Allah in it. Irregardless whether you are a Muslim or not, everyone sings this anthem during official government connected events including Monday morning school assembly. For example, the Perak state anthem "Allah Lanjutkan Usia Sultan" contains the word Allah four times referred in lines like:

a) Dilanjutkan Allah usianya Sultan (first line)
b) Iman Yang Soleh Allah Kurniakan (fourth line)
c) Allah Berkati Perak Ridzuan (penultimate line)
d) Allah selamatkan negeri dan sultan (last line)

This is unlike the national anthem as this song precedes the national anthem and the Rukun Negara and the tune was the basis of the Negaraku. If they want to push for that, they will need to replace every Allah word with Tuhan or otherwise if it is to be sung by everyone! But doing so could break the history that was established centuries ago.

Education System

The history books that you study in secondary level also contains references to the word Allah, and this is prominently mentioned in one big portion of the Islamic History that you see in Form 4. Some people believed that one big portion of Islamic History in the syllabus is absolutely unfair and the proportion of scope is unequal given that there are other non-Malay students are studying. Also note that History is a Core subject - a mandatory subject, unlike Electives.

In Bahasa Malaysia essay writing, if this is in force, will a student be penalized for using one of the 35 prohibited, words taking into consideration that Bahasa Malaysia is a must for everyone, from reading, speaking and writing? In reference books like sample essays, they have to show something else than that given into consideration that other students from other races might be buying that book for reference.

Television Shows

One doubt I have from local television Malay-language shows is that if they wish to push for such ban, TV shows might need to include a disclaimer at the beginning and call for viewing discretion. Or they might provide instruction to the producers of the show to replace prohibited words with general words for all-race audience.

The last say

Such thing can be mind boggling at times, but we've heard the saying 'cakap tak serupa bikin' - meaning you talk but you don't walk the talk. Screaming for a ban can be simple but what if they are unable to do it? Yes, you have many levels of consideration to take into. It is not as simple as it is to be. And in long run, the ones that are actually get the worst out of it are those from the Straits States (Penang, Malacca) as well as East Malaysia. Word is that Christians in East Malaysia are very unhappy over this pushing.

Figuring the Hardliner's Psyche

I have been observing the sentiments from those who have been screaming about the word Allah permissible for non-Muslims to use and it clearly reminded me of the two things that I've read before. The common thing that both have in common is the state of thinking.

Earlier on, I have mentioned my say in the previous posting called The State Of Maturity From The Allah Debacle. I would like an add an extension to my say above by noting that the Allah debacle, shouts from the hardliners reflect like:

Provisional IRA

According to Wikipedia, the Provisional IRA is the paramilitary organization with the sole aim of removing Northern Ireland from United Kingdom and reuniting that territory with Ireland. The initial strategy by them is to force the withdrawal of the United Kingdom via forcing of the collapse of the Northern Ireland administration and massive casualties of the British forces.

The very interesting part of the IRA is to examine some of the psyches and parallel it with the hardliners of the Allah debacle and those from the United Malays National Organization. The current party is not the same as them but the common underlining between both is how the hardliners who opposed the view of allowing non-Muslims to use Allah. Anything that is seen as a loss to their favor, will be considered as capitulating to the opponent.

For example, if there is a setback that favors the other party other than the Provisional IRA, it is seen as losing outright. In the aftermath of the 2008 GE, a summit at JB held by UMNO surmised that the results indicate that UMNO was losing the hold of power. They considered it as capitulation, loss of power and blaming it on the other races.

Holy Crusade

The Holy Crusade is a series of campaigns to retake the lands of Jerusalem occupied by the Muslims and otherwise. The common thing is fighting the other religion in the name of religion. The believe that the land which was rightfully theirs should be theirs and no one else. During the time of Baldwin IV's (the Leper King) reign in Jerusalem, all were welcome to dwell in the city in what Baldwin said was the right virtue to do so.

During the nine crusades, everything was killing in the name of religion. Here, the thing, torching churches and etc reflects of fighting in the name of religion although the underlined truth is that many were misintepreted about the teachings. However, this of course violates one of the Ten Commandments which is to simply use 'in God's name'. In other words, you cannot simply do acts such as those by referring this in God's name.

Going back to the roots, Islam and Christianity are branches of the same root, which is the teachings of Abraham, parallel by his sons Ishmael and Isaac. To say your God is not my God is actually a misinpretation. If you are a person that goes to Friday prayers, there is a difference between just listening to the sermons and listening to the sermons and checking with your holy books to see it is true.

The Quran actually acknowledges of Jesus, the Bible as well as the Torah and reaffirms that this religion shares the same concept as them except on the parallel side of the veil. Sure, well verse scholars who also understand English well will indeed say that Allah is God, the Lord, Jehovah and so on. It's just God has many names and aliases. Not God 1 or God 2. That is absolutely wrong.

I read an article saying that Azmi Sharom's e-mail box gets bombared by e-mails by those who are angry over the his agreement that Allah can be used by others. I can sum up by saying that these people are either misintepreted, shown the wrong way or refuse to acknowledge the stark reality and the naked truth of the actual readings.

Now It Shows of PPM

A few months ago, Hishamuddin Rais has published an excellent article called Projek Pembodohan Melayu and it was a very sober read, describing why Malaysia is still far behind, partly because of this. Following this recent debacle, some of the things based on that PPM thing can be shown here:

Still the three myths are being used there.

There is still a myth that the organization claims they are God's representative here. God does not appoint priests, popes directly.

To be continued....

Peninsular Malaysia Is Restricted, East Malaysia Not

Apa punya turrrrr.......!

More to talk later on.

Britain No Longer Uses Sedition, What About Malaysia?

We all use to read our history books which says that Malaysia uses the law that is modeled after the English law - considered well respected by the world. However, as time goes on, we notice that old colonial laws that they have are now abolished and replaced with new more efficient laws. This is because that people perspective, public opinion and believes have now changed already and with information technology to back it up

Section 73 of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 has mentioned that crimes of sedition are no longer valid and was abolished from Tuesday onwards (Wikipedia mentions that the date of commencement was on the 12th whereas others say it's on the 1st).

If there is a application of extradition of Pete, the English court will not take sedition into account for transaction, for it falls under the four bars that spells rejection to extradition, in addition to crimes in political nature. So, Musa and Gani have scored an own goal of the mob.

So, since Malaysia has called themselves of inheriting English from the beginning, why not start by dropping the Sedition Act and drop all cases involving that act? That act is already 62 years old, introduced during the Malayian Union period. Now it's no longer Malayan Union already.

But look, the ruling party wants to stick to the past, wanting to show how superior they are from the past until now that they are unwilling to ditch the sedition act. It's 2010 now, boyo.

Remember what Hisham said?

June 18 2009 - Bernama:

KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 (Bernama) -- The government has no plan to abolish the Sedition Act 1948 as its provisions are still relevant at the present time, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said Thursday.

He said the provisions enabled the government to act if individuals or organisations attempted to undermine security and public order.

"Individuals who use words of a seditious nature in their speech or writing can be prosecuted under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act," he said in a written reply to Karpal Singh (DAP-Bukit Gelugor) in the Dewan Rakyat.

Karpal Singh had asked whether the government was prepared to abolish the Sedition Act 1948 which was formulated to stop protests against the formation of the Malayan Union proposed by the British administration then.

The Face of An Ally, The Mask of A Foe

I don't rule out the possibility that a party who offers their hand in support of the victimized is actually instigating the whole thing out of the reason of the anticipation of loss of power which a party has held for the last 50 years or so. The party was banking on the majority population support which most of them are docile, doesn't know the truth and can be fooled into following their words.

As Goebbels once said, the more the lie it becomes, the more it becomes the truth, which leads to more kaki bodek following the statement, even if the statement is absolutely wrong in all aspects.

Enough of my rantings.

I had met Jackie Surin (not sure last year or the year before that) at the BUM meeting, where I was invited to have a picture taking session with Farish Noor. Her writing - "Who started it?" shared the same opinion as I do. Read here.

As if that is not enough, do you think it is always possible to consider a party that wishes to instigate or make the issue big by financing the mob groups that go violent? Read here.

My friend, whom I have not spoken and met over the last four months or so once told me of 'Father's Recipe' meaning that if things can get worst, our PM can go back to his father's recipe of the 1969 disaster with the help of cousin Hisham, and best buddy Zahid Hamidi. Like I said, anything is possible and permitted.

Of course such possibilities above mean that everyone should be careful lest you repeat the 1969 and fall to the trap of those who intend to set it up. Got it?

Let's Go Back To Two Years Ago on Petrol

I was discussing with a friend on the coming of the restructuring of the petrol subsidy - due to start in May and we were trying to figure how a person gets to be qualified for subsidy or not. The problem is, the petrol meter is calibrated to use one single price. If you are qualified, then how is the machine going to adjust to that price and so forth?

Anyhow, we have been seeing lately of subsidy reduction on the essential items in the list including sugar and I get a feeling that the current politicians are still inefficient in handling the economy. In fact, to reduce the subsidy is part of the schemes of an economic hit man apart from increasing mega projects, all out to swindle the nation's money and making people suffer.

In fact people are suffering.

Since Najib is the Finance Minister I too, I happened to recall a remark from Anwar, two years ago. It was less than two months before the general elections and there was a video.

"When I do that, Najib will hit me. He will say "this man thinks he is good in economy but in fact doesn't know about economy."

" Kalau ikut dia, negara akan bankrap"

Coming back to this time, prices are increasing, nation deficit is at the all time high, corruption is still rampant and so forth. I was wondering whether Anwar's statement and mockery of Najib there is in fact becoming true when many people don't believe that statement given of his past.

So What Now, APCO?

Just in case if some of you may have no clue or whatsoever, APCO worldwide was brought in as Malaysia's PR agency with the fee of RM20 million annually. And it is them that has concorted the 1Malaysia slogan. They also had a panel of advisors to advise Najib in the first 100 days in office.

Right now, the Allah debacle has clearly gone astray against the 1Malaysia that Najib has promoted so much already. Of course this has thrown a spanner into APCO's planning to have improving Najib's PR image to everyone in Malaysia and internationally.

Let's look at the admission of him saying how powerless they are to stop their own people.

It's just a wishful thinking that APCO might not gain enough understanding of the psyche of the Malaysian people. Not really. But now part of the plan gets derailed by people hoo haa over the Allah matter.

So what now, APCO?

The State Of Maturity From The Allah Debacle

In factual, it is wrong to say that Allah is one God and Holy Father (in Christianity) is another. Allah and Holy Father is actually the same. God has many names / aliases and never forget that Islam and Christianity are branches of the Abrahamic teachings via the sons Ishmael and Isaac. The Bible and the Quran holy book specifically share the same thing in common that there are no other gods except than God himself. This was also muttered at the end of each of the 5 daily prayers in Islam which speaks of there is no other god than Allah (God) himself.

When the initial verdict of Allah ban was overturned, hardcore Malay groups went into such frenzy to convey the indirect message of 'how could this happen' or 'we're being threatened'. All the sort of excuses you use to say that something goes against your way. This is indeed what can happen if the Lina Joy case was overturned instead of dismiss. Simply because of religious pressure on judiciary, society and the point of saying that the official religion cannot be challenged and so forth.

Simply to put, to restrict the word Allah exclusively to one race is somewhat not reaching to the real zenith and understanding of doing such action. You still need to check back on other things to do so before proceeding. You have famed Malay scholar Munshi Abdullah writing Allah in the Malay history books, the word Allah is mentioned in the old Malay translation of the Bible, people in Sabah and Sarawak refer to that and otherwise.

So what about the state anthem?

When we were boys in school, we used to sing the National Anthem and the state anthem at every Monday assembly. In that case, the state anthem of Perak was called Allah Lanjutkan Usia Sultan and the tune preceeds the national anthem in terms of tempo, and structure. The word Allah (God) is mentioned in there twice and this song preceeds the present National Anthem.

The first line reads - Dilanjutkan Allah Usianya Sultan
The last line reads - Allah Selamatkan Negeri Dan Sultan

Note that this song existed since the 19th century even before United Malays National Organization was formed. So that means that people there understood that the one God that we knew is translated into either Tuhan or Allah. You basically do not call an idol and worship it by calling it Allah, don't you? Now then, if these quarters are against and still believe that the word Allah is to be used exclusively by Muslims like these mob group called UMNO do, then why the hell do we hear other people and other students saying "Allah selamatkan..." when singing the state anthem?

If they are pursuing the mantra there, then you will have to dare change that song by replacing Allah with Tuhan if everyone is to sing that state anthem. That is if they wish to live up to the claim that Allah is used exclusively by Muslims.

The Allah debacle has clearly established a few lines that can be understood by readers and those who would spend some time to think about it.

1. It establishes who are the moderate and hardlined people that are involved in the subject. It seems that PAS line has established a moderation line by saying that it is okay to say the name Allah as the Malay translation of God, provided it is not misused, and in move that is applauded by the few - which is to have a dialogue session with the Catholic church.

2. The hardliner stance, particularly from the mob group called United Malays National Organization and NGOs affiliated to them (e.g Perkasa) have showed that the ones that get spooked by such stance would be those non-Muslim people. And as such, the 1Malaysia concept gets mired down to the drain because of that. There is growing fear that other races and religion are put aside by force over Islamisation thing.

3. It establishes the main characters either moderate (like Khalid Samad, Nik Aziz) and the hardliners like those from UMNO, Ibrahim Ali, etc..

4. It clearly reflects the state of immaturity by most of the people who are in connection with UMNO. They are monopolizing the word but in fact that it is to be used by all people. Same meaning, but a different concept. An interesting notion to be mentioned in there is that this is also a way to make the fool of people...ala Projek Membodohkan Melayu. Look at how the Judiciary page got hacked and the message that was left. It reflects the immaturity that most hardliners are right now.

5. As Mahfuz Omar said the other day, it is also a possibility and a way of UMNO to divert other issues including the sugar problem, Altantuya, RMAF engines and otherwise. UMNO is facing internal problems that are not known to most people, with the MSM in their pockets / ownership and control by the Home Ministry.

6. It reflects the product of education. Reading but without understanding. The thinking happens because you don't really understand what the Quran was talking about. Also, the style of teaching also happens there as well. The style of shut up and listen, no questions ask. You can also notice that it's like a game of monopoly out there.

But little is known that such move by the hardliners are going to affect most people in the Eastern part (Sabah and Sarawak). And these two states want to have their own autonomy not to have the Federal government telling them what to do and those restrictions. In the end, it's them that's going to suffer. That's part of the whole consequences. Remember that Najib once said that East Malaysia is BN's fixed deposit? They are standing to lose the F.D if such things prolonged and angering the people there.

Most of the hardliners come from UMNO. Why they would spew such racial-oriented remarks is actually for themselves. UMNO is fearful that their hegemony of power in the last 50+ years is eroding and the support from their own race is ebbing down since most of them are starting to get more literate, and aware of what's going on in the country. The only thing that counts is the pakcik makcik from the villages and people who are not well educated.

Now that the issue has gone public, we can now identify characters that claimed to be pious, playing the 'holier than thou' mantra but instead do something that the Devil would be in support of, like corruption, adultery, murder and etc..It is also interesting to note that one party do not represent the faiths. God does not appoint popes, priests, imams and so on. It is a religious instituition that appoints them.

PKR Sec-Gen Din Hashim Finally Resigns.

The other day, when we were later told that Din Hashim did not resign and it was a hoax.

Just now, a PKR insider text me to say that he finally steps down as the PKR Sec-Gen.

I asked my friend, "Is it for real, not a hoax this time?"

He said: "Definitely real. I confirmed with him personally.

So it's not a hoax after all.

The Subtle Hint of Wrongdoing By MACC

Christmas Eve - The Selangor police started an investigation by Lim Guan Eng's claims that Beng Hock was indeed murdered. Khalid Bakar was quoted to say that Guan Eng's statement is considered as inciting the public to believe that Beng Hock was murdered. But on the 29th, Pornthip declared from her analysis that Beng Hock was indeed murdered. Which means that the content of the first report - allegation is rendered superflous given that the statement says it all.

Then a police report was made at Pornthip by the MACC over the allegation that the beans were spilled too early over it. Some said that it is one way to scare and intimidate Pornthip of not showing up for the inquest session, which is resuming this Thursday. That is one part true and the other part is it is hinting of the MACC's wrongdoing over Beng Hock's case. The first part - being intimidation - means that the MACC is committing a criminal offense as well into intimidating a key witness from providing key testimony and statement.

Previously, an anonymous letter with the MACC letter head was making its rounds on the Internet around a week after Beng Hock was found dead. It contains details that the MACC Selangor was using intimidation tactics on Beng Hock. The more elaborate details include how they would force and break someone into giving a simple info, even to point a finger at someone in exchange for their freedom or something. It was also alleged in that letter that Beng Hock doesn't have any idea to the questions posed by them and they tried to do the extreme - dropping him down from the 14th floor in order to get information. But that intimidation stunt ended in a disastrous manner in the way Beng Hock fell - which posses a question of why is there a rip on the trousers?

Let's just say if what was written in the letter eventually turned out to be correct after all - which means that the appeal ruling over the interrogation hours will become irrelevant at all (that's one of them), and secondly, there's going to be a massive overhaul in the organization, and of course, the officers involved in that session that night, could be finding themselves out of the job.

In anyways, let's wait until Thursday to see things going.

God's Wrath or Man's Mistake?

The letter drop is kind of funny.

But I somewhat believe that God and people are very angry at this mob called United Malays National Organization. They have been screaming and making too many noises over the Allah issue, the BN government increasing sugar subsidy and many things.

Is that's God's way of saying NO? Divine intervention do happen. Look at what happened to Augustine Paul in the end - punished.

Hello and Happy New Year 2010!

First, it's happy new year 2010!

I realized that I didn't write as much as the first two years. Partly because of too much work, exhaustion, timings and maybe I didn't have time to write as what it used to be.

I've done the first thing I want to do - weeping for mistakes of 2009 for 10 minutes in the morn. And let's wipe the slate clean.

As the word says 'to make up' for the miss and mistakes - I'm trying to recapture what was missing - hardwork (my manager told me that was missing in the last 2 months), saving my job, enjoying writing this by going back to my 'one post per day' mantra.

Ah the mantra...I noticed that I fell short of 80 plus postings for 2009, that's about 11.5 weeks of posting there. In fact I've already had 2 or 3 more things in mind...but well, never mind.
