Proofs That A Court Cannot Simply Refuse!

Free Malaysia Today yesterday mentioned of Zaid initiating the proceedings to nullify the results of the Hulu Selangor by-election. And obviously during the course of action, Zaid once said that there are tons of evidence to points to vote-buying and election malpractices that happened during the by-election.

Two things that I know about include how a voter found out that his name got struck out as he was told that he voted earlier on (someone hijacked his name). Another is on how Orang Asli voters were intimidated into not voting for the Opposition and so forth.

Obviously, many people are naysayers, as according to the Your Say column in Malaysiakini on this subject, many anticipated the case will be thrown out on many various excuses, technical in particular. A kangaroo court outcome in particular. An interesting thing about this upcoming case that the panel of judges will be picked by the CJ himself.

No harm done in putting up legal avenues first. Malik Imtiaz said here:

"In our view, this is a very important case, it's an opportunity for the court to make a decision and say what exactly is termed 'free and fair' elections."

Since there are many proofs showing up soon, it is almost impossible for the court to backtrack and say otherwise. If many people find that the court backtracks, they will be booed whatsoever, because the tons of evidence to support the violation of act committed by the BN mob are simply turned away with no valid excuses.
I just reviewed part 3 of RPK's video in London, and this fits the bill. It's about the simple excuses that the court made when they face Pete and his team of lawyers over the ISA appeal made by Home Ministry by then Syed Hamid Albar. And of course, even in his grave, Augustine Paul gets chastised everywhere for his misdeeds and his misconduct. I wonder he still gets chastised in "Purgatory"?
