Is the Government Covering Someone Up?

The media has reported that the identity of the mystery man's DNA that was found on Teoh Beng Hock's belt and jacket could be revealed by today at the inquest session.

Yesterday, the Malaysian Insider has mentioned that the Attorney General chambers is trying to stop more MACC officers from testifying with its representative seeking to get the coroner / magistrate to stop / agree to the request.

Former deputy public prosecutor, Tan Hock Chuan who is assisting the coroner’s court, had argued that there was no need to call senior graft busters, Hishamuddin Hashim and Hairul Ilham Hamzah, into the witness box, despite testimonies from the MACC rank-and-file that they had got their instructions from the two.

Gobind Singh Deo and Malik Imtiaz Sarwar, lawyers for the Teoh family and Selangor respectively, were outraged at what they claimed was a gross injustice preventing them from finding out what had really happened to Teoh.

Malik stressed that both Hishamuddin and Hairul Ilham were the most senior MACC officers involved throughout the investigation and would be the best men to shed light on several puzzles, especially as their junior officers had clearly said they got orders from the duo.

Previously Malaysia Today on 20 August has published a letter believed to be by some fellow officers of the MACC Selangor pointing that Hishamuddin Hashim had a big role in the matter. One known characteristic of him is that he has the tendency to hold people by the belt to get information from a person.

The Malaysian Insider on August 6 mentioned that one of the last persons in the camera was Hishamuddin:

The last man believed to have seen Teoh Beng Hock alive was seen leaving the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office here at 6.10 a.m. on the same day the DAP political aide’s body was later discovered, the coroner’s court was told Wednesday by lawyer Tan Hock Chuan.

The man, MACC officer Hishamuddin Hashim, was among a number of anti-graft officers identified by security guards from closed circuit television cameras (CCTV) photographs leaving and entering the building.

The much theory that is related to the case is that:
  1. There are at least 2 or three persons involved in the stunt went wrong.
  2. Although Beng Hock has no information at all, they wanted him to say something to fingerpoint someone - even if the someone has done nothing wrong. In other words, come up with a name.
  3. Unsatisfied with the outcome, some officers (bad apples) dragged him and threatened to drop him from the top of the building. They did not intend to kill him but somehow, they lost grip of him and Beng Hock fell to his death.
  4. 4. Since the letter is also implicating Khir Toyo, it is said to be in retaliation over his expulsion from the state assembly.

  1. Of course the BN gomen is doing its utmost to cover up the murder. It started when Najis said he would get to the 'bottom' of the case as his interpretation of bottom means 6 feet underground! Since then, everything has been compromised and the whole BN machinery involved to sow doubts over the case.
Don't pin any hope on seeing the truth under BN. If the corrupt ISA is their right candidate for Bagan Pinang, do we need to any more black and white prints??
