Steamboat Dinner For Charity with Patrick Teoh

Through Zorro's post, I saw the call for steamboat dinner invitation at Damansara Village, which mum's friend Patrick Teoh owns. He bought the place + refurbishment at the price of $250K, BTW and last night there was dinner where all payments / proceeds will go through the Myanmar relieve fund / charity.

I came late and missed the first round of dinner since I finished late at office and there was a big jam at the main road. So I was the last person to come and in the end, 8 people were there, whereas the table was for 10. So I came in for the second round and ate whatever I had and then gobbled with our blogger friends around a total of up to 8 bottles of bear, drinks under Patrick's tab, of course.

There's me with the blogger buddies (From L-R, Ancient Mariner, Mr. and Mrs. Zorro, Mr. and Mrs. Fisherman's Wharf, and Benny Wong, Tony was taking a picture)

It's the meal that is what I enjoyed the most. Since that day was a special day, there were plenty of celebrity friends of Patrick there, which includes comedians like Harith Iskandar, Afdlin Shauki, and former Hitz FM VJ Xandria Ooi, whom Zorro knew for quite some time.

It was kind of a pretty nice place to have steamboat, but it is encouraged to take the package since according to the menu, ordering one dish of red snapper is much expensive than having with other ingredients of the steamboat.

I asked Patrick how often he comes here, told me it's about 2-3 times a month. Most of the time, her daughter Melanie and her husband runs the shop.

You can also see other posts, from Tony, and the other from Patrick himself, with a video interview at YEWTUBE. According to Tony, the final amount gathered was at $24632, which is over the target of $15K!
